Danylo Matviienko joined Oper Frankfurt's Opera Studio in the 2019/20 season. He appeared here in 2017, in the Soiree »Warsaw – Frankfurt – Transit« series as a member of Teatr Wielki's Opernakademie. You can see him on stage this season in Křenek's Schwergewicht / Heavyweight, Fauré's Pénélope, Don Carlo, La gazzetta, Salome and Der Prinz von Homburg. He was born in the Ukraine and he was a member of the opera studios at the deBornr National Music Academy in Kiew and Opéra National de Paris, where he was recently heard in Boesman's Reigen, the Kurt Weill Story and as Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus and the Hunter in Rusalka. Roles at the National Music Academy and National Operetta Theatre in Kiev and Donbass Opera in Donezk have included Graf Danilo (Die lustige Witwe), Tchaikovsky's Eugen Onegin, Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Rossini's Macrobio (Pietra del paragone), Germano (La scala di seta) and Donizetti's Gasparo (Rita et Germano). He graduated in Donezk where he also studied mathematic at university.
