Francesco Demuro is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he has sung Rodolfo, Alfredo Germont (La Traviata) and the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto) , to sing Arturo in I Puritani. This Sardinian tenor is a regular guest at houses including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Teatro Real in Madrid, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Opéra Bastille Paris, the Munich and Vienna state operas, the Semperoper in Dresden, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, San Francisco Opera, Seattle Opera, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, in Warsaw and Beijing. He recently sang Jason in Medea at the Staatsoper Berlin. Future plans inclulde Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Hamburg State Opera and Elvino in La sonnambula at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. His repertoire includes Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Fenton (Falstaff), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Roméo (Roméo et Juliette), Macduff (Macbeth), Leicester (Maria Stuarda), Faust, Nadir (Les pêcheurs de perles), Foresto (Attila) and Cassio (Otello). He has worked with many leading conductors including Lorin Maazel, Simone Young, Bertrand de Billy, Daniel Harding and Antonio Pappano.
