Frederic Jost made his debut at Oper Frankfurt as Ordulfo in Trojahn's Enrico and returned for the First Apprentice in Wozzeck. This young bass has appeared regularly at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, for roles including Assan (Menotti's The Consul), 2nd Captain (Zimmermann's Die Soldaten), Achill's deeper shadow (world premiere of Berheide's Mauerschau / Wall Show), in Magal's Jephta’s Daughter and as Coryphée in Gluck's Alceste. He made his debut at the Bregenz Festival in 2018, appeared at the Davos Festival and in recital with the pianist Donald Sulzen at the Musiktagen in Alzenau. Frederic Jost studied singing at the University for Music and Theatre in Munich with Michelle Breedt. This winner of the 49th National Singing Competition in Berlin was a member of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden's international opera studio from 2019/20 - 2021/22 and awarded a scholarship by the Liz Mohn Kultur- und Musik Foundation. Whilst training as a Tölzer choristor he appeared as a soloist at theatres including the Staatsoper Berlin and Concertgebouw Amsterdam and internationally as one of the boys in Mozart's Zauberflöte.

Frederic Jost is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he sang Ordulfo in Trojahn's Enrico last season, house debut, to add another role to his career: 1st Apprentice in this production of Wozzeck. This young bass appears regularly at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, where roles have included Assan (Menotti's The Consul), 2nd Captain (Zimmermann's Die Soldaten), Achilles' deep shadow (world premiere of Berheide's Mauerschau) and Magal's Jephta’s Daughter, and where he will sing Coryphée in a new production of Gluck's Alceste. He made his debut at the Bregenz Festival in 2018. He has appeared at the Davos Festival and gave a recital at the Musiktagen in Alzenau with his pianist Donalld Sulzen. Frederic Jost studied singing at the University for Music and Theatre in Munich with Michelle Breedt. Whilst still training as a chorister he sang at places including the Staatsoper Berlin, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and sang one of the boys in Mozart's Zauberflöte at home and abroad.
