Gloria Rehm is back at Oper Frankfurt, where she has sung the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Blonde and Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, to sing Monica (role debut) in this wonderful production of Menotti's The Medium. She is a regular guest at leading opera companies since her career as a lyric coluratura soprano began in 2011. She was a member of the Ensemble at the Staatstheater in Wiesbaden from 2014 - 2019 where she enjoyed great success with roles including Gilda (Rigoletto), Cunegonde (Candide), Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Fiakermilli (Arabella). She was awarded a DER FAUST German Theatre Prize in 2017 for her interpretation of Marie in Zimmermann's Die Soldaten / Soldiers at the International May Festival in Wiesbaden. Other recent engagements have included Blonde at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Semperoper in Dresden (where she has also sung Konstanze), Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, a role in M.F. Lange's Schneewittchen / Snow White at Oper Leipzig, Zerbinetta, Ännchen (Der Freischütz), Ophelia in Brett Dean's Hamlet, Gilda (Rigoletto) at Cologne Opera and the Queen of the Night at the Volksoper in Vienna. She made her debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich in 2018, singing Fiakermilli in Arabella. Gloria Rehm has enjoyed success at many international competitons – including 1st Prize at the Richard Strauss Competition in Munich – and was nominated many times as »Up and Coming Artist of the Year« in the Welt am Sonntag (World on Sunday, newspaper) and Opernwelt.
