While the gentlemen sing passionate arias about members of the "fairer sex", including Guglielmo's „Donne mie, la fate a tanti“ from Mozart's Così fan tutte and Harlekin's „Lieben, Hassen, Hoffen, Zagen“ from Korngold's Die tote Stadt, the ladies, in „Diamonds are a girl’s best friend“ mood, can be heard singing music including Margarethe's Jewel Aria from Gounod's Faust and Kunigunde's sparkling firework number „Glitter and be gay“ from Bernstein's Candide.
