Victoria Behr's colourful and beautifully designed costumes can be seen in productions of plays and operas. Productions on which she has worked with Benedict Andrews have included Macbeth at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen, La Bohème at De Nationale Opera Amsterdam and Prokofiev's Der feurige Engel/The Fiery Angel at the Komische Oper Berlin, where she returns this season for Reimann's Medea and Oscar Straus' Die Perlen der Kleopatra/Cleopatra's Pearls. She also works often with the director Herbert Fritsch, with whom she has produced productions of Der Freischütz and King Arthur at Zurich Opera, Don Giovanni at the Komische Oper Berlin and Les Brigands at Theater Bremen. She was voted »Costume Designer of the Year«, four times by the Theater Heute magazine, for Fritsch productions of Nora at Theater Oberhausen, Die (s)panische Fliege/The Spanish the German word for Spanish, without an S, means panicky Fly, Ohne Titel Nr. 1 and derdiemann at the Volksbühne in Berlin and twice by Opernwelt for Frau Luna at the Volksbühne in Berlin, and Eötvös’ Drei Schwestern/Three Sisters at Zurich Opera. She has also worked with the directors Nikolaus Helbling, Antú Romero Nunes, Jan Bosse, Peter Carp, Matthias Hartmann and Stefan Pucher.
