Keri Alkema is making her debut in Germany singing Floria Tosca at Oper Frankfurt, a role she recently sang at English National Opera in London and the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. Roles next season include Magda (La rondine) and Vitellia (La clemenza di Tito) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Floria Tosca in Palm Beach, Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena) in Toronto and Amelia Grimaldi (Simon Boccanegra) in Dijon. Places where this American soprano has recently thrilled audiences have included Seattle Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the Teatro Municipal in Santiago, the Opéra National in Bordeaux, Opera North in Leeds and Glyndebourne with roles including Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Amaltea (Mosè in Egitto), Adalgisa (Norma), Elisabetta (Maria Stuarda), Desdemona (Otello), Mimì (La Bohème) and Giulietta (The Tales of Hoffmann). This prize winning artist also enjoys a busy concert career, appearing with orchestras including the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Conductors with whom she has worked have included Roberto Abbado, James Conlon, Plácido Domingo, Ricardo Frizza, Heinz Fricke, Ann Manson, Emmanuel Villaume and Antony Walker.
